The Spring Explosion

April and May are delightful months in Spain of warm sunshine, blue skies, and an eruption of Spring flowers. The unmissable stars of the show are the bright red poppies and white margaritas that seem to grow overnight on every bit of wasteland and roadside verge.   Add to that the beautiful blue borage (and the rarer white borage),  mallow, urospermum, iris, wild garlic, fumaria, asphodel, muscari, verbascum, star of bethlehem ….. and many more that I have yet to identify! Here is a selection of  photographs from my growing collection!
