Ebro Catfish and Carp

We have a fair amount of keen anglers staying in our holiday apartments throughout the year. Many combine their fishing with a family holiday. And why not? Fishing is generally best early morning and evening anyway – which leaves a whole day in-between to go to the coast, pool or sightsee with the family! It seems to be a very happy compromise for the families that do it this way. (and it is has been known for the missus to get hooked on the fishing whilst they are here!)

For the anglers that wish to spend more time out on the river, we are happy to recommend either of the two local guides who will take you out on their boats. These guys know the river, the seasonal changes, the weather, the depth of the water, where the snags are and will do their utmost to put you on a spot where you are most likely to haul in your dream catch.  If you book your accommodation at River Ebro Apartments, we will be happy to arrange guided fishing for you. I must also mention that  within a few yards of our apartments you can access about 150 metres of riverbank – quite unusual on this section of the Ebro. We offer a tackle hire service if you do not wish to bring  transport your own and we will arrange your rod licences to be ready on arrival.

Anyway, here are some samples of the fish that have been caught in the last 4 months of this year. All these fish were caught form the bank in front of River Ebro Apartments or on this stretch of river by boat.
